If you have ppl like Ecksor who does not think that ppl's opinions matter in this game you are seriously are mistaken. Speak up and tell Anet how you feel and this will get fixed may be not tomorrow but when the monks went on strike they got what they wanted......IWAY nerfed.

My feelings on this is to balance warriors, Warriors dont go very often toe to toe with another warrior WITH OUT some other caster using a spell on him also.

another suggestion is IF YOU DONT PLAY A WARRIOR THEN SHUT UP DONT POST.... you are obviously are clueless on how a warrior takes dmg and it shows in you postings.
The same thing goes the otherway around to.

I'm an ele from the beginnen and got the nerf bat really early, I never complained, I adepted and in the process even got better

So if I follow your logic, I don't ever wanna see a non-caster talk about caster aspects, yeah right, like that is going to happen.

BTW do your really think it only affects warriors, dream on I have many casters holding shields aswell, and I'll adept, so don't even try to tell warriors are more nerfed in this latest update!

UNSIGNED PERIOD!

I hope they do go on strike. I really wanna see a bunch of wammos in ToA chanting 'When do we want it?!'.

Your warriors... your not hard to replace. In our guilds all ele FoW trip our ele made a better tank than you warriors ever did.

Learn to love Watch Yourself and quit moaning.

No, it means the same 50 people keep coming back to the thread. How many times have you signed now quanzong? Five?

And who cares if people strike? Oooh... so now you play your necro instead of your warrior. Real effective! So now a group of 8 would mean 2 monks, Ele, Necro, Mesmer/Ranger, Rit/Asn, and 2 fighter henchies. Basically, you get a frontline that attacks the called target, waits for your energy to regen, and doesn't spam, 'monky heal! monky heal!'

All kidding aside, the changes ANet made were fair across the board and very logical. We have all been nerfed at some point. Know who should be raising high hell? Minion masters, because of the limit. Or Assassins, because they're assassins. Warriors are fine, and BTW, plenty of awesome folks are still playing their warriors.

Oh, and public service announcement... Don't go into a busy district and type in 'GLF tank- Earth ele, not some nerfed ass warrior'. The spam you are hit with is painful to look at.

good warriors can tank out a melee guy without this update, and elementalists could already easily defeat most warriors. Mesmers could always kill warriors. Curse necros slaughter lots. Monks shouldnt be fightin. Rangers sometimes have a small problem. Ritualists shouldnt be fightin unless youre running the invinci rit build. Assasins cant kill anything unless youre the rare breed. warrior vs warrior has always been interesting and always will be. Tanks need that resistance to elements man!

signed like hell!

and Evilsod, ive always loved watch yourslef one of the best skills ever i say

and edge you posted a while ago battle isnt the same without a warrior. First if im fightin, nothin hampers the kurzicks more =). Second, most warriors will probably continue to fight, like i do, i still farm the hell out of everything i want to, and in pvp theres always a reward for loosing too which i accept.( except in AB, I shall never loose!)

I've never played a warrior in PvP but my PvE Warrior has 4.7 mil exp gathered so far, the following is to be taken from a PvE side of things.

I allways feel that anet takes it just one step too far in their efforts to keep the game balanced. Very often nerfed skills are completely useless afterwards. And to me all these small changes combined add up to a little too much. Warriors needed a bit of balancing and I've expected them to fix the ascalon/knights armor reduction long ago. Even the rune change is debatable, though I would have rather seen them available to other professions as well. The shield change was unnecessary in my opinion.

But this nerf to warriors pales in comparison to things other profession have had to endure. Ele's, mesmer's necro's have been hit in the past for far worst than this and they adapted. I won't go on strike, I have adapted and moved on. My perdition rock farmbuild is even faster now than it was before and I am sure warriors will still be very usefull ingame.

Good luck to people going on strike I hope you accomplish something, but don't expect a return to the old situation.

So you seem to think it was perfectly normal that a the warriors -2/-3 shield could reduce 5 damage from Shatter Enchantment? No, it was moronic. Its a shield, not a magical ward of 1337ness. They can no longer somehow deflect damage off Deep Freeze and Immolate with there shield.

I have a Warrior it's my First Class and the one I play the most, When I saw the "Nerfs" I was upset, but then *gasp* I got over it and you know what? I'm just as effective in pve & pvp as I was before. As for those of you that like to whine and cry and moan, maybe you should just remove the game from your hard drive cause you obviously are not enjoying the game anymore.

Platemail or Dreadnaughts armor is base 90 +10 vs physical, more than any other armor without having 13 strength, there's your elemental defence.

I dont like this whole physical idea. A shield is used to prevent attacks against physical attacks. A meteor although an elemental attack is still physical as it is a solid object. Surely a warrior would be able to have some of the dmg absorbed/reduced by his/her shield. Same with an ice attack. Ice is a physical thing, so therefore you would expect a shield to be useful against it. Warriors shouldnt just be able to use the dmg reduction against physical only attacks as there are elemental skills which have a physical form e.g. meteor.

Shields shouldnt reduce dmg from some necro skill which has no physical form but there are elemental attacks which it would make sense for a shield to reduce.

I think striking wont work. Anet will never change it.

/Unsigned.

A strike just isn't going to work in any way. The monk strike had real backing behind it and lets face it other classes can party up without a warrior, with my monk, mesmer and necro I do it regularly.

On the other hand I just stepped into a few AB's and had a poke around TA. When the ele's started laughing at the noob warrior as they focused fire at him...a few seconds later my adrenaline build with elemental resistance spell still left them corpses on the floor

On a final note I'd love to hear an explanation from Anet or a rep about why they did this, we can all speculate plenty but it's just that until it's confirmed by someone in the know.

tut tut foolish boy, think before you post, this nerf means warriors will scream MORE for healing and the monks now have an even harder job.

if anything the warriors should strike and the monks should join them in protest of them getting a much harder job to do

Ah the truth and a meteor should only hit about 5 feet across and not kill anything but make people fall over??? You stand under a meteor and see if a shield will help you sorry if that sounded harsh.

I play ele and always have and warriors were the hardest class to kill by far but they also did more damage over everyother class

weres the fairness in that take least damage and do the most damage

now i say give them back there tanking ability and 200ac

but remove 90% of there damage
but wait that STILL would stop there complaining

maybe we should rase there ac to 200 and double there damage

maybe that will shut them up or will it......
